Lovely place! Relaxing atmosphere. Clean and friendly service. The coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time. Strong, full of flavour no nonsense coffee. Others in my group had the donuts and said was delicious. Saw other costumers being served generous portions of food. It looked good! Will make sure I come here again next time in town.

Grant County Parks & Recreation – park, Grant County

Grant County Parks & Recreation – 101 N Main St # 4A, Williamstown, KY 41097, USA – +1 859-428-4500
Parks are poorly maintained. Very little in the way of nature trails, despite an abundance of wooded area. JB Miller park is so overgrown the trail is impassible at a certain point, so at least 50% of it is not usable. There are no public pools, the lakes are dirty and swimming is mostly banned. No wonder everyone in this town is hooked on drugs. There is nothing to do. My family and I will be moving as soon as humanly possible, and I know plenty of other people who are of the same mindset. Anything worth doing here is private and priced for those who make six figures. The rest of us are left with the decaying remains of a time when the government cared about its people. This place has no future, and local and state political officials have no desire or intention to invest in quality of life for residents. If you make above 40k a year and under 100k, do yourself a favor and relocate to a place that invests your tax money in making your life more tolerable, as opposed to stealing it, using it to prop up failing conglomerates (Answers in Genesis, anyone?), and letting everything else rot.

A bit deserted in all honesty! One treasure is Dixie’s Treasures down in the lower part of the plaza. But needs some work!

One of my favorites. I’m an artist. I do woodworking. I found great deals on tools, along with some other items I’ll incorporate into artwork. Also, this one is smaller than the one in Lexington. Much easier to use when you have little time.

Bailey’s Car Wash & Detailing – Car Wash, Grant County

Bailey’s Car Wash & Detailing – 5864 Taylor Dr, Burlington, KY 41005, USA – +1 859-534-5999
I purchased a used SUV and wanted a good cleaning done of the interior of the vehicle and of the exterior and I took it to Bailey’s for the complete detail package.

The good:

– the interior looked and smelled much better
– the dash and hard surfaces were cleaned and shined and a lot of the staining had been removed.
– The employees that I interacted with were nice and polite.
– they offered to rinse my vehicle off for free as it had collected dust in the time it had been sitting in the lot.

The bad:
– when I got home and removed the temporary paper floor covers I realized my interior floor mats were missing (not a big deal as I planned on replacing with rubber mats).
– When I folded down the rear seats I found they had not cleaned under the seats and there were years worth of trash and dirt still there (see attached picture).

Conclusion: For the price that I paid for the detail I expected a more thorough clean. If you decide to have a detailing done here I suggest you go over the vehicle thoroughly before you leave and make sure there were no oversights.

Three Springs Campground – Hotel, Grant County

Three Springs Campground – 595 Campground Rd, Corinth, KY 41010, USA – +1 859-823-0258
Rachel was very nice and friendly. It’s a rustic campground and very peaceful. Surrounded by woods. An escape from the city. We had to change from a 50 amp to a 30 amp, due to camper change, and was refunded the difference. Rachel communicated with us via email and cell phone. This place was a wonderful campground with water and electric. Was not expecting sewer, because we were told , no sewer. This is not a high priced RV resort, it’s a peaceful, wooded and cleared campground. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were private. We will definitely come here again. Close to the Ark Encounter.

Great facilities for a birthday party. We love to rent shelter 4 now. It’s RIGHT next to the bathrooms and the new playground, and far enough away from the main parts of the park that you can enjoy the privacy of your party.
