Ark Encounter – 1 Ark Encounter Dr, Williamstown, KY 41097, USA – +1 855-284-3275
Great experience overall. We spent all day there from open to close. Getting a wheel chair took forever, and that system was not disability friendly. Getting through the ark itself took a couple of hours and was very rewarding. We ate at the buffet, which was nice but crowded. There were tons of choices for all different food preferences. Being vegetarian and gluten sensitive, I found plenty to eat. My kids loved the camel ride, mining for fossils, and kangaroo petting. We got to see Ken Ham speak, which enhanced the experience. I’d recommend getting there as soon as it opens to take in everything. You can take the shuttle and get in the park area for free, without a ticket. There is so much to do, that if we had more time we might have gone back for the outside stuff. As it was, we felt we did everything we wanted in a day.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store – 1131 Fashion Ridge Rd, Dry Ridge, KY 41035, USA – +1 859-823-0273
Great location for RVer’s stopping overnight. The shopping center parking lot they’re located in is practically deserted making it ideal for our Class A and toad to park. The food was good as a Cracker Barrel should be. Would definitely stop and eat here again.

Not crowded, usually have everything i want when i go shopping. Even the highly sought after sales for that week stay stocked at this krogers. The only thing that i can honestly say that has not been there during sakes on occasion is the soft drinks. But a raincheck is readily available.

Great people. We were passing through and tired of driving. Called and they had a great site for us ready with water and electric. All paperwork was ready so it was easy. Site was nice by stream and bathrooms were clean. Short distance from 75.. .where there is a gas station….at very, very reasonable price. Two thumbs up.

Kentucky History Center & Museums – 100 W Broadway St, Frankfort, KY 40601, USA – +1 502-564-1792
Our visit started off just right with free parking across the street. Admission covered this building and the state military history museum up the hill a few block away. Get there in time for a tour of the Old State Capitol building for the history of Frankfort and KY. The 200 yr history of the state will take at least 1 1/2 hrs to get it all in.
