Crittenden-Mt. Zion Elementary is located in northern Grant County near the city of Crittenden. Our school theme is “Soaring High with Eagle Pride.” The mission of our school is to “help all students reach their highest level of academic performance and develop their creativity, independent thinking, physical well being, and social skills through encouragement of student, parent, and teacher participation in a team effort.
Over the past thirteen years our school has changed from a relatively small, rural school to a suburban school with a small rural population. The growth of northern Grant County and the city of Crittenden has resulted in an increased number of apartment complexes, mobile home parks, and subdivisions which has changed our student population. Many of our parents work in the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati area and a portion in the Georgetown, Kentucky area.
We are happy to report that Crittenden-Mt. Zion Elementary is on goal in Kentucky’s Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS).

From Cincinnati:
Take I-75 South to Crittenden, Exit 166. Turn left onto KY 491 / KY 1548 (Violet Road). Travel ¼ mile. Turn right onto U.S. 25 South. Travel 1.5 miles. Turn right onto KY. 2942 (Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road). CMZ Elementary is ¼ mile on left.
From Lexington:
Take I-75 North to Crittenden Exit 166. Turn right onto KY 491 / KY 1548 (Violet Road). Travel ¼ mile. Turn right onto U.S. 25 South. Travel 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Rt. 2942 (Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road). CMZ Elementary is ¼ mile on left.
