J.B. Miller Lake
Grant County is also well served by water recreation resources, particularly fishing lakes. These include the 142-acre Bullock Pen Lake near Crittenden, the 305-acre Williamstown Lake, the 100-acre Corinth Lake, and the 135-acre Lake Boltz, near Dry Ridge. Boating and water-skiing are also permitted on Williamstown Lake.
AdsWilliamstown lake that once was a little country fishing lake with a smattering of cabins along its shores is now attractive expensive homes.
Back in the dusty drought of 1954, water was so scarce that Williamstown, Ky., Mayor J.B. Miller put an advertisement in the newspaper asking people to pray for rain.
Just in case divine intervention didn't fill the community's small reservoir, the next year a creek was dammed up and the hollows outside town became a lake.
J.B. Miller Memorial Park is located at the old city reservoir on Waterworks Road. This park includes a lake, fishing pier and wooded area. Herbert Caldwell Memorial Park is a small garden area with benches and a fountain located on
Main Street in front of Williamstown City Hall.
