Tricia Miles, a veterans benefits field representative with the Kentucky Department For Veterans Affairs, has an office (Room 19) in the basement of die Grant County Courthouse, She provides veterans and their families with counseling and assistance in filing claims for state and federal veterans benefits, service-connected disabilities, increases in existing compensation, veteran pensions, death pensions, education benefits along with legislation for VA medical care.
This is a service provided by the state of Kentucky. There is no charge or fee of any kind.
Grant County has approximately 2,257 veterans from all branches of the military. Some of these veterans are in receipt of service connected disability, non service connected pensions, vocational and other assistance, generating over S1.4 million annually.
