The following procedures will be observed in obtaining a building permit through the Building Inspector's office in the basement of the Gram County Courthouse.

1. Obtain a zoning permit from the Grant County Planning Commission. The planning commission will need septic approval, a deed or approved plal of property and a site plan which shows location of proposed building, including dimensions and height, all property lines, lot width at building setback line, front and rear yard depth and side yard widths existing to property, total area square feet, location of all access points, driveways and parking and right of way.

2. Bring zoning permit to building inspector with two sets of plans.

3. Al that lime a building permit Can be applied for. No permit will be issued until the plans are reviewed. This should take three to five working days. After the plans have been reviewed a building permit will or will no! be issued. At this time the plan review will be discussed with the homeowner or contractor.
