The mission is to provide services which safeguard our public health and safety, to humanely house and care for dogs in our charge and to provide citizens with information concerning responsible ownership.
The animal shelter provides services which help pre¬vent animals from becoming nuisances to the community and provides a physical facility that will house lost, unwanted and neglected animals in a humane manner. The shelter also provides unwanted, sick or injured animals with humane euthanasia.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $45, which includes their first shots, worming, microchipping, a rabies voucher and a license, if you are a Grant County resident.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $15, which includes first shots and a rabies voucher Microchipping is available for an extra cost.
The cost is $100 for dogs and $45 for cats if they are spayed and neutered.
The shelter tries to conduct two monthly spay and neuter clinics. The cost is $45 for cats and $65 for dogs.
Monetary donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Grant County Friends of the Shelter.
